High Mast Light: The Benchmark for Night Lighting in Large-Area Sites
High mast lights are core equipment in large-scale outdoor lighting projects, with pole heights ranging from 15 to 40 meters. They consist of tapered poles, lamp panels, light source electrical components and foundation bases, and are mainly divided into lifting type and fixed type. They are widely used in urban squares, stadiums, port yards, highway interchanges, expressway service areas, airports and other open spaces.
The lamp pole is formed by bending and welding high-quality high-strength steel plates, mostly with octagonal or dodecagonal structures. Treated by hot-dip galvanizing for anti-corrosion, it boasts strong wind resistance and can withstand harsh outdoor conditions such as heavy rain and strong winds, resisting rust and deformation after long-term service. The lifting high mast light is equipped with a built-in winch lifting system. For maintenance, the lamp panel can be smoothly lowered to the ground, eliminating high-altitude work and greatly improving the safety and convenience of upkeep.
Compared with ordinary street lights, high mast lights feature wide illumination coverage and even illuminance. Multiple LED floodlights can be installed on the lamp panel. By adjusting the projection angle, dark areas on the site are eliminated and glare is reduced. A single pole can cover thousands of square meters, cutting the quantity of poles and saving costs on cables and foundation construction. Modern mainstream products adopt energy-saving LED light sources paired with intelligent control systems, supporting timed switching and remote dimming to lower power consumption and meet the concept of green lighting.
High mast lights balance practical functions and visual effects. Lamp panels are available in various styles such as flying saucer and frame types to fit different scenarios. While ensuring safety for night operation and traffic, they also serve as neat and grand infrastructure in urban spaces. With the development of smart lighting, many high mast lights can integrate monitoring and signal transmission modules. Evolving from simple lighting fixtures into multi-functional outdoor integrated poles, they keep safeguarding nighttime safety for large sites.
